When you read a poem, what is it that you do? how do you approach it? Explain your stretegy for analyzing poetry.

When I read the poem, I will know a poet who wrote this poem and the topic first before I read the content of poem. This is important for me because if we know who wrote this poem, we can understand that what is his/her style. Maybe it's rural, social, or lyric style. After knowing the poet, we could read the content clearly with appropriate emotion. I use this strategy for analyzing poetry.
