Compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of going to a school like PAS versus going to local school.
Advantages in PAS and local school are not same. PAS has some advantages for me because we have more holiday than in local school, such as PD day, Christmas break and spring break. These holidays never happen in local school. That means we have a lot of freedom in PAS. Another good thing in PAS is no uniform every school day. advantages in local school is that every class' period is short, only fifty minutes. That means we don't have to seat on the chair too long.
Disadvantage in PAS and local school are different, too. Disadvantages in PAS is having a lot of homework and facing second language. It's difficult for me because we do the homework without Chinese. How about the disadvantages in local school? We have to wear the uniform and your body should be clean and tidy. That's really strict. All students want to wear any clothes that they want, we don't want to wear it every single day.

Sherlock Helmes
Dialogue:
three men live in this house which was surrounded by forest. One night, one of the man was killed.
Policeman A: We found the body in his house, he was died and lied on his bed and blood was all over his face.
Policeman B: I think his throat has a hole, may be skiller used knife to sting the throat.
Policeman C: But this room was locked, no one could go in.
Policeman A: Actually, there is a spiracle in front of the body and bed.
Policeman C: the most terrible thing is the mask was thrown everywhere.
Policeman B: I think killer went through the spiracle and then made a terrible apperance to show that he was cursed by legend.
After Sherlock Helmes heard what the policeman said, he began searching this surroundings to find any clues. during this period, He found something.......
Sherlock Helmes thought: Why there is only one mask has covered blood and rest of masks are clean?
He didn't believe any legend, the killer must use brillient method to kill him. He believed the killer is one of two men.
Policeman B: There is another clue, that is rope. But how the killer went into it?
Sherlock Helmes: Maybe the killer never went into it, that guy might kill him from outside.
Policeman C: It's impossible!!!!! Because the spiracle to the bed's distance is far.
Sherlock Helmes ignored him, he just concentrated on this event.
Sherlock Helmes thought: the mask filled with blood might close to the throat, I think the knife was located in mask's mouth.
Policeman A: How about the rope and rest of the masks?
Sherlock Helmes: Maybe the killer used all of the masks to go through the rope one-by-one then passed through the spiracle, the mask with the knife must be front. After that, the killer pulled the rope and let all mask become straight, the knife would close the man's throat.
Policeman C: But it was just close, it didn't sting into it.
Sherlock Helmes: the killer could use his hand to push it then killed him, idiot.
Policeman A: Wow!!!!!! Brillient inference!!!!! But who is the killer?
Two men look nervous and strange. When Sherlock Helmes frisked two men, he noticed that why this man's hand, with glasses, has a little incised wound......

the newspaper news(11/27/2010) - (NBA news)Williams Scores 29 to Beat Lakers
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Deron Williams scored 29 points and Andrei Kirilenko grabbed two key rebounds late as the Utah Jazz rallied from a 19-point first-half deficit for a 102-96 win over a Los Angeles Lakers team that swept them out of the playoffs last season.
Williams tied the score at 96 with 1:16 remaining on a 3-pointer, then stole the ball and passed to Raja Bell for what proved to be the game-winner.
Ron Artest and Paul Gasol both missed shots late for the Lakers (13-3), which saw their five-game winning streak end.
The Jazz won their fourth straight to improve to 12-5.
Kobe Bryant scored 14 straight points for the Lakers in a 2:25 span late in the fourth quarter as the Lakers rallied from an 83-82 deficit to take a 96-91 lead with 2:12 remaining.
But Williams, who Bryant called the best point guard in the league before the game, took over.
He was just 5 of 15 at one point before finishing with a game-high 31 points on 10-of-21 shooting.
Al Jefferson added 20 points and eight rebounds in holding his own against the Lakers' Pau Gasol (21 points, 11 rebounds).
Utah's other guards got the Jazz back in the game when it looked like they were finished.
The second quarter belonged to the two shortest players on the court. Utah's Ronnie Price and Earl Watson, at 6-foot-2 and 6-1, respectively, ignited an 11-0 run to pull the Jazz to 39-22 after Los Angeles had taken a 19-point lead.
Price started the run with a running one-handed slam on a pass from Watson. Watson and Price then hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Paul Millsap followed with a three-point-play off a nice pass underneath from Watson. Watson then took it the length of the court to pull Utah to 39-32 with 6:08 remaining.
Then it was Williams' turn. He hit a 3-pointer and a fastbreak layup over Lamar Odom to pull Utah to 44-42 with 3:09 left in the first half.
Millsap, on an assist from Williams, gave Utah its first lead, 46-45, on a short jumper with 1:48 left in the first half.
The Lakers took a 50-46 lead into halftime as Gasol and Bryant combined for the next five points.
Los Angeles, after shooting 68.4 percent in the first quarter, made just 4 of 21 in the second quarter (19 percent) as Utah closed the gap.
(This version CORRECTS Jazz 102, Lakers 96. Corrects Utah win streak to 4 straight games.)

What is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is to take someone’s work or ideas without doing yourself. Plagiarism also same as cheating, this event would happen from students. When you don’t study or do your homework, you might borrow someone’s homework to copy or use any methods to cheat in the class. That means this guy is lazy and wants to get higher grade. For another example: If you do a project without doing on your own, everyone will say that you are not creative or no ability to do anything. You won’t get any award and encouragement from other people. These situations are called “plagiarism”.
Why People Write Diaries
People write journals and in diaries because they want to record the traveling route that they have gone before. Some famous people write diaries because they are interested in noting things they have. Not only this, they might find some unusual and special things, and they want to share with us. One of the famous people who wrote journals is Lewis Carroll. He has written lots of diaries before, and these diaries are for 1858 – 1862. These diaries make people want to read them because they might want to know the author’s experience and feeling. If the author thinks something is good, people will want to go there to see.

chapter 5 response
I think the author want to talk more about the pearl's bad things. Kino and Juana want to find the method to escape to another place with pearl and they don't want any bad things to happen again. From the previous chapter, we can see that when the pearl is in Kino's hand, the bad things are coming quickly. Such as Kino fights with other people, the house is burned, or the canoe has the hole that make water in. I think those things happen because of the pearl's appearance. If Kino lives without the pearl, he will have a better and peaceful life.

5 questions about term 1 in ESL2
What would you change about what you do to be more successful this time around?
After the midterm was finished, I would change about I need to study hard more and pay attention in the class. I think these are enough to be successful for me and these are only way to get a high grade.
What course material did you like or not like?
I liked participating to other students because we could share each opinion and suggestion together and learn some communication skill between each other. I think these are very important for me.
What was your favorite activity?
My favorite activity was to play game. One thing we guys play was about vocabulary competition. We separated into three groups, and then compete to each other. Teacher would say a word meaning and we had to guess or know what that word was. If someone knew this word, that guy could stand in front of whiteboard then wrote down the word you thought. If you corrected, your group would get one point. This game was really fun for me.
What did you like the least?
I liked writing essays the least because I didn’t like to write essays and it was really troublesome and boring. I thought this was my problem because I was too lazy to write things. However, I couldn’t blame teacher because he wanted us to improve our writing skills.

discuss the effects of studying hard for a test
Why do we have tests? Because teachers want to know whether we study for subjects or not. If you don't understand the test's content and questions, you might fail this test or get a lower grade. That's why we have to study hard and ask more questions about the test. Studying hard for a test not only can help students get higher grade, but you can also learn new skills into your brain. That can make you feel smart. If you get a high grade, you can be proud of yourself, and then your parents will be proud of you, too. That can make you feel happy and satisfied. These are the effects of studying hard for a test. However, you have to spend more time studying than the other students. When your classmates are playing, you should use this time to study for the test, because time is money. After that, you have to make a schedule that which moment you want to study, that can make you feel convenient to prepare the test. If you can follow these steps, I hope you can have a good grade directly.
